Lunch and Learn
Lunch and Learn events offer attendees the opportunity to connect with UW faculty, staff and fellow alumni.
The Portland Lunch and Learn is a great opportunity to learn about the amazing work taking place at the UW, mingle with fellow Portland-area Huskies and still make it back to work in time for your afternoon meetings. This opportunity to hear from distinguished UW faculty and staff happens twice a year, typically in the spring and fall.
Husky Business Networking Group Meetings
Husky Business Networking Group meetings offer Portland alumni a chance to expand their professional networks.
The Portland Husky Business Networking Group meets on a quarterly basis to hear from locally-based business owners and connect with other Portland-area Huskies. These evening events are open to all alumni and friends who are interested in expanding their professional network, not just those who work in business. These events are typically held on the third Tuesday of the months of January, April, July and October.
UWAA Member Night at Nike
Huskies apparel at the Nike company store in Beaverton.
For one evening, Nike opens its private company store in Beaverton, Oregon exclusively to UWAA members to stock up on the latest UW gear and more. Apparel and shoes are available at discounts up to 50% off retail prices. This event is typically held in the fall.
Huskies gather for a happy hour at the Oregon Historical Society in downtown Portland.
Happy hours, career networking events, football viewing parties and other activities are frequently organized by Portland Huskies. All alumni in the area are welcome to participate.
