The western gray squirrel has been a state-threatened species since 1993. Threats to its persistence include habitat loss and degradation, competition from the non-native eastern gray squirrel, fluctuating food supplies, disease and mortality from road-kill and illegal shooting. More.

For nearly 30 years, Marty Main, ’96, and his wife, Peggy, have operated Small Woodland Services, Inc. (SWS), a small-scale forestry company in southwest Oregon. Now based in Medford, the company provides full spectrum services, from planting and restoration, to planning, fuels reduction and harvest. More.
