UWAA President

As volunteers, you make the UW a better place. You know that. Your gift of time and talent makes it possible for students, friends and alumni to feast on a smorgasbord of activities as varied as speaker events, Husky happy hours, Husky Summer Celebration barbecues and outings, viewing parties (Holiday Bowl, anyone?!!), warm ups and much, much more.

Thanks to you, whether it’s a lecture on campus, mentoring fellow UW grads or students in their career paths, volunteering at an event that helps to raise scholarship dollars for our students or just having a great time with fellow alums, you help strengthen the bonds that link us to this wonderful university and to each other.

As a lifelong Husky, from a family of Huskies, I have benefitted greatly from my connection to the University of Washington. That's why getting involved with the UW Alumni Association was important to me, and I am honored to have the chance to work with (and when possible, alongside) those of you who feel likewise. Your dedication makes me proud.

Thank you for your generous helping hands…I know we can count on them in the coming year. But for now, please just enjoy the warmth of your family and friends this holiday season.

Sincerely,

Colleen Fukui-Sketchley
