Dr. Robert Flennaugh, '64

Q&A with Bob Flennaugh, '64
In 1964, Bob Flennaugh became the first African American to graduate from the UW’s School of Dentistry, and after graduation he opened his private practice on Seattle's First Hill. Four years later, he joined the UW’s dental faculty, and in the '70s he became the first African American appointed to the UW Board of Regents. Before all of this, however, Bob was a thriving member of the Husky Marching Band! More...
