Stephanie Coontz teaches history and family studies at The Evergreen State College in Olympia. She also serves as Co-Chair and Director of Public Education at the Council on Contemporary Families. Her most recent book is A Strange Stirring: The Feminine Mystique and American Women at the Dawn of the 1960s. Rebecca Brown

Literary Voices
Saturday, April 28; 6 p.m.
UW Club

Rebecca Brown was the first writer in residence at Richard Hugo House, co-founder of the Jack Straw Writers Program and now serves as the creative director of literature at Centrum in Port Townsend. Brown's best-known work is her novel The Gifts of the Body, winner of a Lambda Literary Award, which has been translated into seven languages. Tickets available January 30.
