Andy Stergachis, professor of epidemiology and global health, is a leader in emergency preparedness and response and medication safety. As the volunteer Pharmacy Advisor for Public Health-Seattle & King County during the 2009 H1N1 influenza outbreak, he facilitated communications and the distribution of stockpiled antiviral medicines and vaccines.

She is generous with her time and her rich data sources and fosters an environment that promotes collaboration and networking. Students are given guidance and responsibility while being held accountable for high quality research.

Distinguished Faculty Lecture
Michelle Williams, professor of epidemiology, presented our Spring Quarter Distinguished Faculty Lecture—Biomedical, Social, and Environmental Determinants of Reproductive Health: A Changing Landscape. (Listen to the podcast.) Dr. Williams directs the UW Multidisciplinary International Research Training Program and the Reproductive Pediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology Training Program. She is also co-director of the Center for Perinatal Studies at Swedish Medical Center.
