Open for business: PACCAR Hall to be dedicated Oct. 15

After a decade of planning and two years of construction, PACCAR Hall debuts as the gleaming hub of the Foster School of Business. On Friday, Oct. 15, Foster School faculty, staff, alumni and business supporters, will gather at a private event to dedicate the new building. The ceremony will include remarks from Jim Jiambalvo, dean of the Foster School of Business; Mark Pigott, PACCAR chairman and chief executive officer; and Phyllis Wise, interim president of the UW. There will also be a reception and tours of the building.

PACCAR Hall, which was completed this summer, is a five-story, 135,000-square-foot building located at the corner of Memorial Way and Stevens Way. It includes 124 offices and 19 classrooms, as well as a 250-seat auditorium and 28 breakout rooms to be used for small group discussions.

Other amenities include air conditioning, an outdoor terrace and a cafe that seats 100 people and serves Starbucks coffee.
