Arts Roundup: Year-end student exhibitions abound
Though graduation and summer are approaching, there is still a lot to see on campus, including exhibitions at the Henry Art Gallery and Odegaard Undergraduate Library.
And speaking of summer, the weekly roundup will slow down over the next couple of months. We still plan on keeping you informed, just not on a weekly basis. Stay tuned!
“Shhh…Art Show”
Through June 16 | Odegaard Undergraduate Library
Students in this quarter’s Interdisciplinary Visual Arts capstone class, with Lecturer Timea Tihanyi, present their work. The artworks will be scattered throughout the library, encouraging exploration of the recently renovated space. More info.
Bachelor of Design Show
Through June 24 / Jacob Lawrence Gallery
The School of Art presents an exhibition of work by students earning their Bachelor of Design, plus the work of a few graduate students as well. More info.
“Parallel Play”
Through July 12 | Prographica
Photomedia Professor Ellen Garvens is the curator of this group show. Some of her work is included, and several of the artists are School of Art alumni. More info.
Mindful Meditation
June 12 | Henry Art Gallery
Mindful Awareness is the moment-by-moment process of actively and openly observing one’s physical, mental and emotional experiences. These drop-in sessions will be held on the second Thursday of each month and pre-registration is not required. More info.
Video / yoga

This series of yoga classes on the third Thursday of each month is taught side by side with video art, creating an immersive visual and yogic experience. More info.
Arts Dawgs Reception and Tour: 2014 Masters Thesis Exhibition

This special Arts Dawgs event offers a reception and tour of the School of Art Master of Fine Arts and Master of Design annual exhibition featured at the Henry Art Gallery. Guests will meet the participating students and be able to get an inside look at their work. UW School of Art Chairman Chris Ozubko will be the featured speaker. More info and RSVP.
