UW Board of Regents
The University of Washington Board of Regents governs and stewards the University in succession to past citizens, and for the benefit of present and future citizens of the State of Washington, as provided by statute. The Board selects, supervises, and evaluates the University President. With exceptions, the Board delegates day-to-day administration of the University to the President, in consultation with the faculty, in accordance with statute.
The Board of Regents consists of eleven members, one of whom is a student and one of whom is a member of the faculty. Regents are appointed by the Governor to serve six-year terms, with the exception of the Student Regent, who serves a one-year term, and the Faculty Regent, who serves a three-year term.

- The regular meeting of the Board scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, is cancelled. The Governance Committee will still meet at 2 p.m. The next regular meeting of the Board is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025. Schedule and agendas are available here.
- The Request to Provide Public Comment form is no longer available for the meeting of the Board on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Sign-ups close when full or at 5 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the meeting.
