Willow -- the Washington Information Looker-upper Layered Over Windows-- is a general purpose information retrieval tool. It provides an easy-to-use graphical interface to any number of bibliographic databases, and is used as the main access method for the University of Washington Libraries catalog and research database collection. |

Willow is freely available to anybody, for non-commercial purposes. Versions for Unix/X-Windows as well as Microsoft Windows are currently offered. Willow is a full-featured Z39.50 client. New May 19, 1998: A Java Willow standalone application built with Java 1.1 and the Java Foundation Classes is available. The old Java 1.0 Java Willow applet is also still available. |
