Washington Commons: 4333 Brooklyn Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105
Join the UWAA, BECU and the U District Partnership for a volunteer service day in the University District. Now part of the fastest-growing neighborhood in Seattle, “The Ave” holds many fond Husky memories. This is a great opportunity to have fun while making a positive impact. Wear your Purple and Gold to add a dash of Husky pride to the day!
Gather at 8:15 a.m. at Washington Commons, just off the courtyard that is immediately south of UW Tower, for a light breakfast and coffee with your fellow volunteers. We’ll take group photos and break into teams after the 9 a.m. welcome. Each small team will spend about an hour and a half on their project to make a positive impact on our neighborhood. Activities will include litter pick-up, washing windows of local businesses and logging maintenance needs in the Find It, Fix It app. Then we’ll meet back at the starting point for a special thank you gift from BECU.
