K-Pop Dance Class
Sun. March 23, 2025 4–5:30 p.m.
PopRox Dance Studio, Capitol Hill | 1429 12th Ave, Seattle WA 98122
K-pop has swept the nation!
With infectious rhythms and killer choreography, K-pop’s global fanbase transcends age and culture. It’s time for Huskies to hit the dance floor! UWAA is partnering with Seattle’s PopRox Dance Studio to break down the dance moves and embrace the fun. No experience required!
Huskies and K-pop have deep roots. We are delighted to welcome UW alum Kyu Lee, ’00, as our special guest for this event — as a Hollywood insider and Korean entertainment executive, his insights on the K-pop movement are sure to be fascinating. Then bust a move with UW alum and PopRox instructor May Qiang, ’22, ’23, who will teach our group the dance choreography to Fifty Fifty’s hit song “Cupid.”

About the instructor
Meet Eliana Schultz
Eliana Schultz’s dance journey began in New York, but it wasn’t until she moved to Seattle that she truly found her passion. Eliana took her first K-Pop class at PopRox—and from that moment, she was hooked. For Eliana, dance became more than just an activity; it became her refuge. During challenging times, dance was there to support her, helping her build self-love, a sense of community, and a renewed perspective on life. It taught her resilience, creativity, and how to embrace imperfections. Today, she’s dedicated to sharing that same sense of joy and freedom with her students, reminding them that dance is not about perfection, but about embracing the journey, learning from mistakes, and always having fun along the way. Eliana believes that dance is a powerful tool for self-expression and growth, and she’s committed to being there for her students every step of the way.
