About Blue Bridge Career Coaching

Founded by Elizabeth Atcheson in 2010, Blue Bridge gives you the skills to map yourself to the economic landscape and find the work and career that’s right for you. Elizabeth Atcheson is a Portland, OR-based career coach with her own private practice, Blue Bridge Career Coaching, founded in 2010 in Seattle. She is a highly experienced career coach who works with job-seekers and career-changers of all ages. Her signature offering is Tools for Transition – a monthly 4-session workshop series on Zoom that provides a complete guide to successfully landing a job – starting with career assessment and going all the way through to interview preparation and salary negotiation. Here’s a sampling of what participants in the September 2023 Tools for Transition said about it:

“Specific, clear, and actionable in a way that was not intimidating or overwhelming. I’m now excited about the possibility of finding a new job rather than dreading the drudgery of the process.”

“So valuable to know now how to use AI to streamline the application and interview process.”

“Now I have a deeper understanding of the hiring process and a framework for understanding this time of transition.”

“Specific, actionable, and clear advice – thank you!”

“Extremely helpful for me – there are a great many things, big and small, that I’ve already applied to my job search. The specificity on networking has been particularly helpful, as that’s something I feel far from confident in.”

“Your course has given me the confidence I’ll need to re-enter the workforce.”

Elizabeth has worked with UW alumni for many years, both individually as clients and through in-person Tools for Transition workshops she gave exclusively to UW alumni starting in 2017 until the pandemic. For the UWAA Career Conversations page, she spoke on Combatting Ageism in the Job Market, which you may listen to here.
