Matching gift raises extra $50k for students
The 2015 fall membership drive came with a new twist. BECU, the Seattle region’s largest credit union, pledged to match the dues of any new or renewing UWAA member: That’s $50 per regular annual membership, up to $50,000, to support student scholarships and higher education in Washington. Thanks to the strong response by new and renewing members during the October’s membership drive, BECU will donate the full match fund amount to support student scholarships and higher education in Washington. Thank you, BECU and UWAA members!
Since 2008, the UWAA and BECU have been partners in support of the UW through affinity card programs, financial literacy seminars, scholarships and more. As two nonprofit organizations with strong ties to the local community and a strong focus on member satisfaction, we’re proud to stand together.
