Meet the owners:
Boon Boona Coffee After a trip to Eritrea, founder and CEO Efrem Fesaha was determined to share the unique flavors of and traditions of East Africa. With social impact built into the business, Boon Boona Coffee is now a source of connection and opportunity for both African coffee growers and the Greater Seattle community.
DayoSense Seattleite chef Dayo Edwards is a trained architect who attended culinary school at night before creating DayoSense. Its focus on comfort food from different cultures aligns with her commitment to work with other small and micro community businesses that hold the same values of excellence and joy.
Macadons started in 2014 in White Center as a side business and grew organically over the years until co-founder Michael Huynh decided to leave his full-time job to take on the business full-time in 2017. Since then, Macadons has grown from a small shop with no employees to a large-scale operation that makes over 10,000 macarons a week and employs 24 hardworking individuals.
Métier Brewing Company CEO Rodney Hines’s work supporting diverse, low-income communities earned him a spot on Fast Company’s list of 100 Most Creative People in Business 2017. Currently a board member for PCC Natural Markets, Rodney is also a member of the Community Advisory Council for the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle University Youth Initiative Advisory Board.
Husky Social at the College Inn Pub — SOLD OUT
Sat. April 27 | 4 p.m. | Seattle, WA | Free

One lucky member will leave with a Husky-themed Yeti cooler. Say hi to Howard the Ghost for us if you run into him! 21+ only
SOLD OUT
Meet the owners
The College Inn Pub is personal to Jen Gonyer, ’01, a UW medieval literature grad who was one of the regulars who rushed in to resurrect the pub after it was forced to close during the pandemic. She dated her husband (and ownership partner) Al Donohue, ’99, ’02, there. It’s where he met his law school buddies and it’s where she worked as a waitress. It’s also where they hung out with third co-owner Seth Howard “This isn’t just a college bar, it’s a community center with beer,” she says, paraphrasing the sentiments of a former bartender.
