International Friends Visit Campus
We love it when international alumni come back to campus for a visit. This summer and fall we welcomed visitors including Boon, ’78, and Chieko Chaya, (center left) and Zhonghua Li, 03′, (center right). While on campus they visited impressive destinations like GIX and met with staff including Ray Li, the UW’s director of international advancement.
A Taste of Seattle in Singapore
The Singapore Huskies added a little Seattle flavor to their gathering in August by meeting at Seattle Pike Chowder for a happy hour. The soup shop has UW roots that go beyond a shared home town. It’s owned and operated by alumnus Kia Hong Lim, ’81.
Hong Kong Huskies Mix It Up
In September, the Hong Kong Huskies gathered for a multi-school mixer with alumni from other top universities in the United States. They enjoyed a fun evening in good company with alumni from Georgia Tech and Notre Dame.
The Party Starts Early in Taipei

Foster School Heads to Thailand
Alumni around the world are helping shape the Husky Experience for UW students in a big way. In September, former Thailand Huskies president, Boon Chaya, ’78, helped arrange visits to top Thai companies for students in the Foster School’s Executive MBA Program. Making connections for students is just one of the many ways our alumni and friends across the globe give back to the UW.
