We’ve had a great season of events at the UWAA this spring, and we’re just getting started! We had a terrific turnout to our April 8-10 weekend event, PAWS-on Science, at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. A special shout-out to our volunteers—Kevin Beder, Amanda Burrows, Eddie Hart, Mark Gwaltney, Anita Steele, Stephan Daniel Asad Yhann and Aylin Kim—whose helping hands (or should I say, paws?!) contributed to making the event a success!

What's on Tap
We’ve got a full slate of activities on the horizon for this summer. Please consider joining us at:

Washington Commons
Good news about the former Alumni Commons, the UWAA’s new home. It’s now known as Washington Commons and is nearly complete. After months of construction—and the noise and dust that come with it—we’re about to put the finishing details on a space that will make UW alumni proud. Check out these work-in-progress photos:

Changes at the UWAA
There's a new face here at the alumni association: This month we welcome Lynne Salkin Morris as the new associate director of alumni relations. Lynne received her bachelor's degree from New York's Hamilton College and her master's degree in 2006 from the University of Pennsylvania but we know that deep down she's a Husky at heart. Welcome Lynne!

We're having a fabulous spring and summer is just around the corner. Thank you all for helping us make the post-UW experience an enjoyable and enriching for all alums. See you at our next event soon!

Sincerely,

Colleen Fukui-Sketchley
