UW Tacoma Night at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium
In celebration of UW's Washington Weekend 2008, we invite you to join us for a family evening of fun and education at the scenic Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Thursday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy private tours of the beautiful South Pacific & North Pacific Aquariums, plus special presentations by UWT alumna Karen Povey and aquarium staff, and a hosted reception of beverages and hearty appetizers!
Ticket prices for this space-limited event are $15 general admission, $10 for current UWAA members, $5 for Children 12 & under, and FREE for currently enrolled UW students. Advance registration is required; to reserve a spot for you and your guest(s), please register online.

Adventures in Light: The Renoirs' "Family Pictures"
Also as part of Washington Weekend 2008, UW Tacoma and the Tacoma Art Museum invite you to an exclusive, private and guided tour of the "Renoir as Printmaker: The Complete Works" collection, followed by a hosted reception and guest lecture.
UW Tacoma professor of film studies Dr. Claudia Gorbman will take you through a dazzling multimedia presentation and discuss the Impressionist through-line that connects the works of Pierre-Auguste Renoir and his son, French filmmaker Jean Renoir.
