International Huskies
University of Washington Converge Tokyo 2018
UW Converge Tokyo brought over 200 Huskies — representing a dozen countries — together. During the summit, guest speakers and panelists shared valuable leadership experiences, which ranged from engaging in entrepreneurship within the local government, to teaching medieval Japanese Waka Poetry in a university classroom.
The reception program featured a dinner, toasts, speeches and videos. The evening fostered discussion and networking among the Japan Huskies and visitors from around the world. The weekend ended with guided tours, where attendees were paired with local alumni volunteers for a few hours of informal sightseeing in the city.
UW Converge Tokyo gave its attendees the chance to learn from UW experts, connect with UW’s international alumni network and discover the University’s global impact while celebrating Husky spirit abroad. As always, we are thankful for all the volunteers who made it possible!
The next opportunity for Huskies to converge will be November 9, 2019 in Taipei. We hope to see you there!
