Seeking two faculty advisers to the University Diversity Officer

As the University’s task forces on antisemitism and islamophobia continue to assess the campus climate, we are seeking two faculty members to serve as special advisers and to work collaboratively with one another to support the next steps. Each adviser — one for islamophobia and one for antisemitism — will research and curate educational materials for students, faculty and staff. The materials will be informed by feedback from the surveys and focus groups that the task forces have conducted.

Each position will be a two-month appointment, beginning July 1, as a special adviser to University Diversity Officer Rickey Hall. Compensation will be two months of summer salary, and the advisers will work remotely.

To apply, faculty should send a letter of interest, including their experience and expertise for this work, and their CV to uwudo@uw.edu by June 14.

Promoting awareness and providing resources is the next step in fulfilling our long-term commitment to building and nurturing an inclusive and diverse University community where each of us can thrive.
