Reina Lewis

Reina Lewis, once working as a work study student at the Office of Educational Assessment, continues to support the University of Washington IASystem™ Course Evaluation and UW Seattle ScorePak services as a Temporary Administrative Assistant. She looks forward to returning to school some time in the future to expand her knowledge in educational equity and diversity. Reina strives to contribute her time, energy, experiences, and justices to positively impact educational practices.

Reina graduated from the University of Washington Seattle with a BA in Education, Communities, and Organizations (ECO). Simultaneously immersing herself in Disability Studies as a minor, Reina learned about the importance of an equitable, accessible, and inclusive education, where representation serves as a basis for understanding, familiarity, and acceptance. She is passionate about community-centric and community-specific asset-based educational approaches that center the voices and experiences of survivors of erasure, silence, and ancestral histories of pain and resistance. Reina strives to support students through a dedication to the smooth processing of course evaluations and scoring procedures that encourage instructors to continue to grow as educators.
