Styled documents
These are templates created in PowerPoint to allow for more design styling than a standard letterhead. These are not replacements for UW business papers but can be used for various communication purposes. The templates are available in two design styles that accommodate a range of content.
Download and install the University fonts prior to using the files below.
If you are sharing this document for editing, you may need to replace the brand fonts with MS Office compatible fonts. Arial Black is a good substitution for Encode Sans, Calibri Light may be substituted for Uni Sans and Calibri Regular may be substituted for Open Sans.

Email signatures
Copy and paste this template (from name through logo) into the signature tool in your email program, then replace the generic information with your own. It is not necessary to include all contact information or to list the information in the exact order in the examples below. The recommended font is Open Sans which can be downloaded from the fonts page. If this font is not currently on your operating system you may use Calibri, Arial or Verdana. You may use the / symbol to separate content as needed. You may replace the UW logo with your department or program logo.
Signature format example:
YOUR NAME (Pronoun/pronouns) (all caps, bold, font size 12pt)
Your title (font size 11pt)
Your department (font size 11pt)
Your building Box 000000 (font size 11pt)
0000 Your Building Street, Building Floor/Suite City, WA 00000-0000 (font size 11pt)

Text only emails
If it’s necessary to default to text formatting for your email client rather than HTML, use Calibri, Arial or any default MS Office fonts for your email signature. The font for the body portion of your email should be the same as the chosen font for your signature. It’s not possible to use the left aligned University of Washington signature graphic at the end of your email signature with text formatting, so please use uppercase letters in spelling out UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON at the end of your signature. Keep the size of the font in your signature the same as what it is in the body of the email for Your Name and UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON and reduce the font by 1 size for the middle section of your signature. Using bold font for Your Name and UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON is optional.
