CCRI’s research advances the understanding of how the evidence-based solution of mentoring is being implemented at rural colleges while gauging the student experience with a primary focus on students from low-income backgrounds and racially minoritized students.
Transfer
Transfer is one of the most important but understudied phenomenon in U.S. higher education. CCRI uses an equity lens to conduct a series of studies on transfer policies and practices.
STEM
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education is important for our country’s future as it provides jobs and solutions to major problems. CCRI conducts research and evaluation on STEM education.
New baccalaureates
New forms of applied baccalaureate degrees are emerging and increasingly are conferred by community colleges. Many of these degrees focus on developing occupations associated with STEM and career-technical education.
