Food & dining
The University of Washington campus itself has more than 30 distinct dining locations including restaurants, cafes, food trucks, food courts and grocery stores. In addition to on-campus dining locations, the surrounding University District area is in close proximity to restaurants that serve delicious cuisine from around the world.
On-campus dining
UW students have easy access to a wide range of on-campus dining options. If you live on campus, you may be required to have a dining plan — check out the residential dining web page to see which plan works for you.
Off-campus dining
Some of the best food in Seattle can be found within walking distance from the University of Washington. University Way (also known as “The Ave”), located just west of UW’s campus, is the most popular off-campus dining location for students. From top to bottom, the Ave is packed with culturally-diverse dining options. You can also find several restaurant options at University Village, a shopping mall to the east of campus. Additionally, UW’s light rail station provides easy access to delicious food from Chinatown/International District, Capitol Hill, and Westlake, and more.
