Building Capacity from Decades of Community Engagement…

In 2022, in recognition of the importance of community engagement within an impact ecosystem and supported by a generous, anonymous gift, the UW President directed resources to Building Tri-Campus Capacity for Community Engagement , orienting the UW’s long-standing community-engaged scholarship and learning practices to be deeper, more ethical and more effective. Since 2022 teams of faculty and staff have gathered and analyzed information from our UW and external communities, and generated new capacities, materials, and recommendations for further advancing tri-campus community engagement. The reports below detail key capacities built by this project and their potential impacts, grounded in collaboration among faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
