Annual Stroum Lectures honor 40th anniversary of Jewish Studies at UW

“School Photos and Their Afterlives: A Comparative Jewish Perspective” will examine the historical, memorial, and aesthetic dimensions of school photographs from a comparative Jewish perspective in  lectures by Dr. Marianne Hirsch and Dr. Leo Spitzer on March 31 and April 2 in Kane Hall. The Burke Museum will display the South Lake Union Mammoth Tusk on the two last weekends in March, from 10 am – 5 pm. The tusk continues to be carefully monitored by Burke paleontologists to ensure that it is drying properly, so please check their website for any schedule updates.
