Considering “indefinite detention”, twelve years after 9/11
A distinguished panel moderated by Ross Reynolds of KUOW-FM and sponsored in part by the University of Washington Center for Human Rights will discuss Indefinite Detention without Due Process at Seattle Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 7:30 – 9:00pm.
UW architecture grad curates houseboat exhibit
Erin Feeney, ’12, wrote a book about Seattle’s floating homes while working toward her master’s degree in architecture at the UW. Now she has curated an exhibit on the same subject at the Museum of History and Industry. The exhibit runs until Nov. 3.
Weekend Activities @ the Burke
Starting September 7-8 and continuing every weekend through June 2014, visitors to the Burke Museum can take part in “Best of the Burke” guided tours and participate in hands-on activities on different themes with crafts to take home. Free parking available.
Night time at the Arboretum
Register now for Park In The Dark!, a nighttime hike through the UW Arboretum on Saturday, August 31, from 7:30 – 9 pm. This environmental education event includes activities for children ages 6-12 and cost is $8/person.
