Starting September 7-8 and continuing every weekend through June 2014, visitors to the Burke Museum can take part in “Best of the Burke” guided tours and participate in hands-on activities on different themes with crafts to take home. Free parking available.

Night time at the Arboretum
Register now for Park In The Dark!, a nighttime hike through the UW Arboretum on Saturday, August 31, from 7:30 – 9 pm. This environmental education event includes activities for children ages 6-12 and cost is $8/person.
Free workshop on building global citizens
The classroom as a springboard for global awareness will the be the topic of a free August 30 workshop at UW Seattle. Primarily designed for high school teachers but others are welcome to attend. RSVP required. UW alum Rick Steves,’78, is keynote speaker.

Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 21, undergraduates who participated in a variety of research programs during the summer will share their work with their peers and the public.

For the fifth year in a row, the University of Washington has received the highest possible score in the Princeton Review’s Green Honor Roll, a nationwide ranking of environmentally-related practices, policies and academic offerings among institutes of higher education.
