New housing development offers pre-leasing for UW employees
Bridges@11th, a new housing development opening in May, is offering UW employees the opportunity to pre-lease apartments before the general public. Priority for the apartments is split between UW and Seattle Children’s Hospital employees. During the initial occupancy, the developer will hold 92 apartments for each institution’s eligible applicants. Apartments will be filled from the waiting list according to the order received. A waiting list of eligible faculty and staff will be maintained for future vacancies.
The development features comfortable, urban apartments and town home living, and is located in the heart of the University District. Adjacent to the UW Tower and close to the Seattle campus, Bridges@11th is the result of a partnership between the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Both institutions had a shared interest in providing high quality housing for their employees. Security Properties/Madrona Ridge was selected to build and operate the project.
It should be noted that only benefits-eligible faculty and staff with active 9-month or longer UW appointments are eligible to apply for the priority pre-leasing.Temporary employees and retirees are not eligible, but may apply for residency if no eligible employees are waiting for apartments.
Should you become eligible for an apartment, you must act within five days of notification in order to receive priority. If no UW or Children’s employees are on the waiting list, apartments can be offered to the public after April 2, 2015.
Contact Madrona Ridge directly at bridgesat11th@madronaridgellc.com to apply for pre-leasing. Be sure to provide your name and employee ID number so we can verify your eligibility.
