Free lecture examines strengthening our communities
MacArthur “genius” Fellow Majora Carter will present “Department of HomeTown Security” on Wednesday, January 22 in Kane Hall, part of the Graduate School Public Lecture Series. The lecture is free but advance reservations are required.
Free artist lecture series at the Henry
Starting January 16th with sculptor Allyson Vieira and ending March 13th, the School of Art will present seven public presentations by cutting-edge creators and curators talking about their work. All presentations are on Thursdays at 7pm and take place in the Henry Art Gallery auditorium. Please RSVP online.
New book by UW English prof and best-selling author coming to the screen
“I Think You’re Totally Wrong: A Quarrel,” a forthcoming film directed by James Franco, is based on a new book by Professor of English David Shields and former UW student Caleb Powell, ’91.
