Kristen Peagler, 2nd year resident
Kristen Peagler is from Lithonia, Georgia. She received her B.S. from Presbyterian College in 2017 where she played Division 1 soccer and is a 2021 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time at the University of Georgia, she became the first veterinary extern at NASA under the guidance of NASA’s Chief Veterinarian and was the first veterinary student to complete NASA’s Aerospace Medicine Clerkship. Peagler’s interests include neurology, immunology, and musculoskeletal diseases. She hopes to make contributions to the field of aerospace medicine after completion of the UW Residency program.
Outside of her lab animal interests, Peagler has been heavily involved in her community and has helped educate future generations of veterinarians of all ages. She enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, viewing and learning about all things space, playing sports and is beginning to learn how to fly planes. Peagler is excited to give her pets, especially her Giant Schnauzer an amazing time on the West Coast!
