About Denny Liggitt
“My position as Chairman and Professor in the Department of Comparative Medicine (DCM), School of Medicine, University of Washington is oriented toward approximately 65% administrative, 15% service/teaching, 20% research. Teaching responsibilities are confined to formal seminar contacts and graduate student/post-doc/resident interactions. I am a board-certified veterinary pathologist with expertise in rodent pathology. Research interests are principally collaborative and directed toward projects involving, in a broad sense species and strain related variations, in-vivo interactions of the host with its defense and steady-state mechanisms and the role that selected cytokines and growth factors play in this interaction. I also have experience in the development and approval process for biologic and gene-based therapeutics hence some research and advisory efforts involve translational research with a pre-clinical emphasis.”
