About Dr. Brabb

Dr. Thea Brabb is an emeritus Professor of the Department of Comparative Medicine (DCM).  Her primary research is in investigating how infectious agents modulate the development of autoimmunity and cancer, with the majority of her work focused on mouse models of inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Brabb served as the Attending Veterinarian for the University of Washington from 2005 to 2017 and Chair of DCM from 2017 to 2024. She retired in July of 2024.
