Two New Resources from AccessERC

AccessERC has created two new resources for engaging people with disabilities in engineering research centers.

The first is a checklist called Equal Access: Universal Design of Your Engineering Research Center, which is designed to make ERCs welcoming, accessible, and usable. It shares steps for using universal design to accessibly design information technology; planning, policies, recruitment, and evaluation; and communication, including presentations, exhibits, and activities.

The second publication, Promising Practices That Engage People with Disabilities in the CNT, is a series of promising practices used by the Center for Neurotechnology at the University of Washington. This includes topics on recruitment, communication, the accessibility of facilities and activities, a climate of inclusion, and data inclusion.
