2018 Accessible Technology Services Annual Report Online

Accessible Technology Services has created a snapshot of our fantastic 2018 year in a short, six page publication. It shares facts about our two centers: The Access Technology Center (ATC) at UW, which helps assist with internal accessibility across all three campuses, and the Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology (DO-IT) Center, which helps students with disabilities succeed and instructors teach more accessibly nationwide and across the world.

Highlights of our year include the following:

At the ATC, we had 1665 event attendees, 64 events hosted, 103 liaisons engaged, 100 products showcased, and 473 videos captioned. We honored Ana Thompson and Carrie Doring for their great partnership and innovations, and we highlighted our three full-day capacity building institutes, our three liaisons meetings, the upgrade of our captioning service to a project, and the proliferation of PDF and web trainings across campus.

At DO-IT, we had 7 new grants, 60+ internships, and 1000+ participants in our programs. We honored our participants Hannah Werbel and Vincent Martin for the awesome work and continued mentorship, and we highlighted the hundreds signing the CSforALL Accessibility Pledge, DO-IT Partner Howard Kramer, John Kemp's speech to the DO-IT Scholars and UW, and AccessCSforAll leaders Richard Ladner and Andreas Stefik winning Champions of Change Computer Science Awards.
