AccessSTEM Minigrants
The funding for AccessSTEM minigrants has ended. However, we hope to offer more grants to help teachers make their science, technology, engineering and math curriculum, labs and activities accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
For examples of accommodations for students with disabilities in STEM activities, see the following publications:
- Working Together: Science Teachers and Students with Disabilities
- The Winning Equation: Access + Attitude = Success in Math and Science
- Universal Design of Instruction: Definition, Principles, and Examples
The Information Technology publications provide useful information about accessible technology.
For additional resources about accessible science, universal design of STEM curriculum, and programs and lessons in STEM for students with disabilities, see STEM Education Resources.
