Summer Study 2020 - Monday, July 20
Phase 1:
Interviewing Like a Broadcast Journalist with KUOW’s RadioActive Youth Media: Interviewing is a skill all people can benefit from learning — not just journalists! In this session, you’ll learn how to ask great questions, listen closely to the answers, and conduct an interview like a broadcast journalist. You’ll listen to examples of radio stories produced by Seattle teens, and then practice interviewing your peers in small groups. The goal of this session is for youth to learn the basic skills of journalistic interviewing. After completing this session, youth will be able to identify three interview strategies that lead to interesting answers.
