King County Executive Dow Constantine announced a new King County initiative – Best Starts for Kids. The goal is to provide resources necessary to prevent negative outcomes in the community. The initiative focuses on early childhood development and incorporates recommendations and outcomes of research completed at the University of Washington’s Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences (I-LABS).
