The University of Washington is again ranked as the No. 1 primary care medical education program in the country and first for family medicine and rural medicine training, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2018 Best Graduate School rankings.

The University of British Columbia and the University of Washington announced the establishment of the Cascadia Urban Analytics Cooperative. This industry-funded research partnership between UBC and the UW will use data to help cities and communities address challenges from traffic to homelessness and is made possible with a $1-million gift from Microsoft. Last week, the Clean Energy Institute celebrated the opening of the Washington Clean Energy Testbeds. The state-of-the-art user facility has lab space for manufacturing prototypes and then testing to increase the rate at which engineering discoveries can become clean energy technologies available in the marketplace.
