The looming fiscal cliff is all over the news lately. What many people don’t realize that automatic budget reductions could hit Washington harder hit than other states. Scientific research funds from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Energy’s Office of Science and Defense Science and Technology could be cut. ‘Pivotal Tuesdays’ lecture series begins Oct. 9
Professor Margaret O’Mara will explore crucial 20th century American presidential races in a series of four lectures called “Pivotal Tuesdays: Four Presidential Elections That Made History.” The lectures, the latest in a long-running UW History Lecture Series, begin Oct. 9.
