Faculty councils serve as deliberative and advisory bodies for all matters of University policy, and are primary forums for faculty-administrative interaction in determining that policy. Faculty Code, Sec 42-33.
FCSA shall be responsible for all matters of policy relating to non-academic student affairs such as financial aid, housing, regulation of social affairs, eligibility rules, intercollegiate athletics, and general student welfare. Faculty Code, Sec 42-38.
Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW)
The Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW) is a non-profit organization that serves as the student government at the University of Washington. The structure of the ASUW is a complex composition of 25 units, including entities, enterprises, commissions, programs, and committees. Operating with a budget of approximately one million dollars, 72 employees and over 500 volunteers work to serve students and improve student life.
UW Graduate & Professional Student Senate (GPSS)
GPSS is the official student government for graduate and professional students at the University of Washington. GPSS is comprised of two senators from each degree-granting department, four officers, and several staff members. GPSS represents students to the university and the legislature, funds graduate programming, and hosts regular social events.
