On August 20, 1894, the College of Pharmacy opened its doors to some 21 students, among them four women. More than 110 years later, UW pharmacy faculty members have gained national and international recognition based on invited presentations, as authors of textbooks and book chapters, and through appointments to research advisory panels and editorial boards.
