DEI statements, which are increasingly used in faculty hiring and promotion, often generate confusion and consternation. In the spirit of continuing discussion on the subject matter, our guest will explore the issues related to the use of such statements in academia and their impact on academic freedom. Dr. Randall Kennedy (Harvard Law School) will provide a different viewpoint on DEI statements from that supported in last year’s webinar with Dr. Brian Soucek.
