The Gala celebrates the impact of the University of Washington’s most generous friends and supporters. Typically held on an evening in early September, the Gala is the only event of the year to be hosted under the vaulted ceilings of Suzzallo Library’s iconic Reading Room.

This beloved evening of joy, gratitude and inspiration honors attendees through a cocktail reception, dinner and program of dynamic storytelling, culminating in a special acknowledgment of recipients of the Gates Volunteer Service Award (GVSA).

Invitations are sent in early summer.
