CHAMPION UW LIBRARIES ON HUSKY GIVING DAY in APRIL 2025
Husky Giving Day (HGD) Champions are at the heart of Husky Giving Day success– helping to celebrate the power of philanthropy and support the people, programs and causes you care about most at the University of Washington – like UW Libraries! Anyone who loves UW Libraries can be a champion (students, parents, alumni, researchers, friends, community members)!
Why Become A UW Libraries Champion?
Our greatest strength is our community. We’re going to do BIG things together that will benefit Libraries.
Huskies will be showing their passion for the Purple and Gold; supporters like you are important voices for why UW Libraries matters. Sharing the ways that you’ve seen, felt and valued the impact of UW Libraries can inspire UW alumni and friends around the world to participate in celebrating the power of philanthropy.
Husky Giving Day offers the BIGGEST annual opportunity to share and discover what UW Libraries means to the community and how best to support Libraries’ services!
How Can You Champion UW Libraries?
Though gifts to any Libraries fund on Husky Giving Day are greatly appreciated, we focus each year on support that will have the BIGGEST impact. Check back here in March 2025 to see our choices.
We know that you have a busy life, and we value your willingness to volunteer to be our Champion so we have sample messages, URLs and graphics to make this super easy along with these suggested guidelines:
- Remember to use #HuskyGivingDay in all of your messaging
- Send out communications at a pace that fits your schedule best with 1 to 3 posts during the week or two before, and 2 to 3 times on Husky Giving Day.
- Share your stories in ways that feel genuine for you, and encourage others to share theirs, via email and social media in advance and on Husky Giving Day.
- Build fun momentum for support by pushing out information and updates about Libraries Husky Giving Day Challenges and how close we are to meeting them to unlock generous additional funds.
- Make a gift that you feel comfortable with, if that works for you, and share your experience of why and how.
We may use your story on the Libraries Husky Giving Day website, blog or other Libraries’ Husky Giving Day efforts.
