When Do I Get my Diploma?
Diplomas are sent out approximately 2 months after graduation. For more information on diplomas, check out the Diplomas page on the Office of the University Registrar website.
Returning PhD and Professional Degree Rental Regalia after graduation ceremonies
If you missed the June 12 deadline to return your rental regalia to the University Book Store, you will need to ship the regalia to Oak Hall to avoid being charged. The shipping address is:
Oak Hall Cap and Gown
3812 Blue Ridge Dr.
Roanoke, VA 24018
Place a clearly written note in the box with your name, email address, phone number and the University of Washington. We recommend insuring PhD (purple) regalia for $1025 and Professional (black) regalia for $650.
Make sure you’ve really graduated!
Students who complete all requirements to graduate will get an email confirming their official graduation status after the degree is granted. This email will have the subject “University of Washington Notification of Degree Posting: Next Steps.” It will be sent from registra@uw.edu to your uw.edu email. If you do not receive this email, you have not graduated (even if you attend Commencement). Meet with your adviser to make sure you will meet all graduation requirements.
Help with Student Loans
The Office of Student Financial Aid can answer your questions on paying back your student loans. Don’t hesitate to contact them if you need help managing your loan repayment plan.
