Indoor Running Track features include:

  • Climate control: there is no rain, snow, heat, or wind to contend with on an indoor track.
  • Closed course: you can time yourself and find your speed because the distance around the track is known and posted.
  • Direction changes daily: This keeps the running experience varied and reduces wear on one side of the track.
  • Nine Laps = One Mile: This provides a clear measurement for tracking distance.
  • Two Running Lanes: Dedicated lanes for runners ensure a smooth experience.
  • Two Walking Lanes: Separate lanes for walkers to accommodate different types of users and activities.

Basketball Court
Two Basketball Courts: a game played between two teams of five players in which goals are scored by throwing a ball through a netted hoop fixed above each end of the court. Basketballs are available at the Equipment Issue Area on the first floor.

Two Volleyball Courts

Two Volleyball Courts: a game for two teams, usually of six players, in which a large ball is hit by hand over a high net, the aim being to score points by making the ball reach the ground on the opponents side of the court. Volleyballs are available at the Equipment Issue Area on the first floor.

Upper Body Ergometer

Adjustable arm cranks, accessibility and low starting resistance make it easy to get on and get going. Has 1-20 levels adjustable in .1 increments providing 200 levels of resistance. It is ideal for strengthening arms and shoulders and at the same time recruiting the core stabilizing muscle.

VitaGlide


Designed to allow a natural, fluid motion with no unwarranted stress on the shoulders and two upper-body exercise motions similar to rowing or cross-country skiing. Exercise routines can be varied to work different muscles and users can select independent resistance for each arm depending on their own physical abilities and goals. .

MoonBoard

MoonBoard: A standardized interactive training wall that connects a global community of climbers through shared problems and competitive performance rankings. The app allows users to browse, filter, select, and illuminate problems on the MoonBoard. Each user’s logbook provides a detailed overview of completed ascents, problem ratings, and global ranking.

TRX Stations


TRX Stations: Full-body suspension-training system designed for high-volume strength, cardio, and mobility training.

Equipment Issue Area

General Information

Most items of sports equipment related to IMA may be checked out with a valid Husky ID Card, Rec membership card, or guest receipt. Sports equipment game bags are available and may be checked out with a valid Husky ID Card or Rec membership card. Softball bag includes gloves, bat, balls, and a catcher’s mask. Volleyball bag includes net, volleyball, and various poles, stakes, and ropes. Tug-o-war bag includes rope. Learn more about the types of equipment available for checkout here. Mat Rooms

Description


Two fully matted (floor and walls) rooms: Provides a safe, supportive, and comfortable surface for exercises. Used for combative sports and martial arts.

Squash Courts


Two International Squash Courts: A racket and ball sport played by two or four players in a four-walled court with a small, hollow, rubber ball. The players alternate striking the ball with their rackets onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. Equipment is available at the Equipment Issue Area on the first floor.

Racquetball Courts


Four Racquetball Courts: A game played with a small hard ball and a short-handled racket in a four-walled handball court. Equipment is available at the Equipment Issue Area on the first floor.

Speed, Power, Agility

Plyo Boxes


Plyo Boxes: Use for jumping onto, off of, or over, to build speed, power, agility, and strength. Can also be used for step-ups, pushups, dips, and more.

Step Hurdles


Step Hurdles: Improve knee lift and step quickness. Position hurdles for agility drills, running drills, and plyometric jumps. Use with forward and lateral drills.

Strength Training

Back Extension Stations


Back Extension Stations: Used for strengthening and building flexibility in the back, spine, glutes, and hamstrings. Ergonomic Assist Handles with Custom Rubber Grips, Heavy Padded Rollers, and Adjustable Split Thigh Pad to Accommodate Users of All Sizes.

Chin/Dip/Leg Raise Stations


Chin/Dip/Leg Raise Stations: The machine offers three bodyweight exercises in one unit. Multiple pull-up grip angles offer variety and comfort. Contoured elbow pads and oversized dip handles provide added comfort.

Conditioning Ropes


Conditioning Ropes: Rope conditioning is universal because it has the ability to build core strength and improve core-to-extremity strength that helps you to hit your next workout, or opponent, hard. Rope training is brutal in its hit to an exerciser’s conditioning and is an excellent developer of grip strength.

Dumbbells


Dumbbells: Customize your range of motion, challenge stability, work different planes of motion, with these form of functional, beginner-friendly free weights.
