Stories Between Each Line: An exploration of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park — Seattle Unit’s collections as the Artist-in-Residence

Master’s Project by Katherine Rosendale (2016)

Stories Between Each Line is a project created for the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park — Seattle Unit as the pilot Artist-in-Residence for the park. The purpose of the project was to design and develop a webpage that explored the collections information and history, through data visualizations and illustrations. The page highlights specific objects and reveals the stories behind them to the viewers and was designed to reveal more information about the history of the Gold Rush and related objects in the park to a wider audience. The project also serves as an example for other National Park Service units to incorporate more alternative methods of storytelling and digital tools on their own websites.
