Additional materials for international applicants
International applicants must submit additional required materials to the Graduate School. For more information, please refer to the International Applicant Information page.
An international student is defined as any person who is not a U.S. citizen and does not hold a U.S. Permanent Resident Visa. The definition of an international student also includes those who hold U.S. visas, such as an F-1 visa, exchange visitors, and other non-immigrant classifications.
If you are required to submit TOEFL or Duolingo scores (see Policy 3.2 and our admissions criteria page), you must submit your online application before your official scores can become part of your application packet. If there are any discrepancies between the name entered into the online application and your score reports (i.e. middle initial missing, differences in spacing) the system cannot match your scores correctly. Please email uwmuse@uw.edu if you think this might be a possibility.
For applicants needing to demonstrate English Language Proficiency, Museology currently requires the following scores: TOEFLiBT – 100, Duolingo – 125, IELTS – 7.0.
For more information, please refer to the Graduate School’s International Applicant Information page.
