Earl Davie Building

ZymoGenetics, a biotechnology company focused on the discovery and development of protein therapeutics, in September celebrated the naming of its second building in honor of Dr. Earl W. Davie, UW professor of biochemistry. The Earl Davie Building is adjacent to ZymoGenetics’ headquarters, located in the historic Seattle Steam Plant on the shores of Lake Union. Davie co-founded ZymoGenetics in 1981 and has maintained an active role in ZymoGenetics as a scientific advisor. In recognition of the contributions made by Dr. Davie to the field of blood coagulation, Novo Nordisk established the Earl Davie Endowed Chair in Biochemistry at the UW in 1993.
